Team Building@East Coast

On Wednesday 23 Jan 08 a telematch team building were held at the East Coast Park. Three classes DS0801J, DS0801K and DS0801L and 4 staffs from Jan 08 intake took part in the event. The students were excited and the response was very encouraging.

Sembawang Shipyard's Green Wave Environmental Care Competition for Schools 2007 Award Presentation Ceremony

This is the fifth year of the competition and a total of 278 entries were received with participation from about 1,000 students. This is an annual competition opened to all students at Primary, Secondary, Junior Colleges and Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and Tertiary Institutions. The award presentation was held on the 22 Jan 2008, at Marina Mandarin Hotel, Singapore.

Our EC DR students managed to win 2 commendation award of $500 each under the JC/ITE category. They are.. the "Engergy Monitoring Device" and the Auto-water Saver.

YEC-ITE Charity Car Wash @ Kg Chai Chee CC

On 20 Jan 2008, Sunday, 3 of our students volunteered themselves together with myself and the YEC from Kg Chai Chee, washed cars to help raise funds for charity. A total 45 cars were washed and total of $1188 were raised. All proceeds will be donated to the Moral Home for Disabled Adults at 2 Chai Chee Lane.

New Elective - Information Trasnport System

Launch of elective module, Information Trasnport System. Our champion for the course, Mr Skeikh developed all the course documents, notes and lab sheets. This module will be jointly certified by R&M, who is a Swiss leading supplier of quality layer 1 equipment and materials, and LanTroVision, a leader in cabling and information transport system infrastructure service provider.
